The first important step in any event is select the theme, but in this case, with the help of a dear friend, I got a good idea for my little girl. She loves swimming, so MERMAIDS was the perfect inspiration for this event.
After that, all the fun began, I usually like to incorporate handmade pieces in my work. I started with the seashell shape invitations made with textured cardboard, glitter cardboard and some beads, after mermaids centerpieces using different type of cardboard, foam paper, beads, tissue paper. For the faces I used colored pencil and even make up.
My last DIY project were the goodie bags I decided to make seashells with two kind of cardboard paper one with glitter and they turned it super cute.

The set up was full of pieces that remind you the sea, sea stars, seashells,small transparent balls representing bubbles, some green tissue paper glued on the walls like seaweeds and jellyfish hanging from the roof made it with paper lanterns and matching color streamers completed the scene.

The final idea was make the guests feel they were inside a fish tank or under the sea and that was the reaction when they arrived at the party.
It was a magical celebration, especially for someone so special to me.

  Venezuelan appetizers ( tequeños, cheese and beef empanadas). Variaety of pizzas. Oreo cake pops. Cookies. Tres leches shots. Quesillos (Venezuelan dessert). Cheesecake shots

  Sodas, juices (caprisun and apple juices),water, beer and wine

  Cake ( vanilla cake with condensed milk filling, marble cake with nutella filling), oreo cake pops, cookies, shots ( cheesecake, tres leches, lemon) , quesillos (Venezuelan desserts)

  Goodie bags made with turquoise paper bags and handmade seashells cardboards one glittery over another solid one. Inside, personalized mermaids lip balms, custom made mermaids brazaletes and a mermaid diary with pen, to complete some sweets

  Jumping castle and a mermaid tail piñata
