Mia's Hip Hop Party
ByParty Recap
For Mia's 8th birthday we decided on a hip hop party as she and her friends love music and dancing. The girls have been taking hip hop classes together for a couple years now and like to come up with their own little routines when they get together these days.
I went with a rustic look for this party so our space would resemble a club a bit more. Since our house decor is mainly white, I created a contrast by going with barnwood and darker colours.
Grace of Clever After Creations customized some graffiti style printables that went perfectly with the look I had in mind.
Eva of Jessika's Treats made some amazing cookies that matched the colour scheme and party style perfectly.
As a craft, the kids made personalized bracelets and necklaces. They had pizza for dinner and could choose between a few beverages from the "bar". I am happy to say that water was the most popular one! Ha!
The girls had Oreo and red velvet cake for dessert. Both were a huge hit. All in all, this hip hop party was super fun with lots of crafting, dancing and singing.
