For my daughter's 1st birthday party, I tried to add a lot of personal touches and color. I love flowers and thought it would be a cute theme for a first birthday. I was able to find a lot of bargains by planning months ahead and purchased tents online for the outdoor party. Although I rented tables and chairs and special ordered her cake, everything else was homemade or bought and planned by me.

    Cajun shrimp, egg rills, steak sandwiches, flank steak salads, pasta salad, BBQ ribs, fried rice.

    Turkey Hill iced tea (a family fav), raspberry lemonade, spring water, soda.

    Jell-o in wine glasses, chocolate or coconut cake, chocolate covered fruit, fruit in shark watermelon.

    Candy - flower lollipops, rose ring pops, sweet tarts, pastel M&Ms, etc.

    Hide and seek, scrapbooking for the birthday girl, all sorts of pick up sports games.

  • Best Moment

    Spending time with the birthday girl after all the hectic set-up I had to do on my own.

  • Funniest Moment

    Watching the kids devour the cake and jello in wine glasses as the jello and fondant started to melt. It was a very hot June day!

  • Most Touching Moment

    After digging into her own cake and having to endure hundreds of pictures, the birthday girl fell asleep on her mommy covered in cake crumbs.

  • Best Dressed

    Birthday girl Mila changed 5 times!
