Moana Birthday Party at the Park
ByParty Recap
My Maddie turned 6 and we had a big Moana birthday party at the Park. I scouted the location and booked the picnic area with the City. They blocked the area for me, so I don’t have to get there at 7am to hold the spot, soooOoo worth the $50 deposit. Next time you plan a party at the public park, check to see if you have the option to reserve the picnic area.
The park has metal mesh picnic tables, so I decorated each table into a Moana canoe. I made the signature Moana sail using poster board (Dollar Tree) and wooden stick (door moulding from Home Depot). Each sail is 6 feet tall and fits perfectly in the middle of the picnic table. I covered the table with brown plastic liners and tied it down with giant rubber bands. Then I gathered blue and white balloons and tied them to each corner of the bench to look like ocean waves.
