Party Recap

What better way to celebrate summer than hosting a Moana Party!

You know the saying, if you can't beat them join them. Well if you can't go to Hawaii or Fiji why not bring it to you with a Polynesian style party that your guests will love!

You're Welcome! Palm leaves, pineapples, tiki torches, leis, and hibiscus are all fun and easy décor to transform your party into a Moana party! Most of the tropical décor is from Oriental Trading like the large tissue paper hibiscus.

Aloha! Guests were greeted with leis, flower crowns and hula skirts. Everyone enjoyed outdoor games such as slip n' slide, bounce house, and bean bag toss.

Guests enjoyed tropical fruit cups, mini flower chocolate mousse cakes, chocolate and coconut covered hooks, popcorn, dirty iced hibiscus cake, Hawaiian ice flavored snow cones and mango lemonade.

To get the custom cake look for less make your own dirty iced cake and add hibiscus flowers and Moana characters!

Be creative when it comes to tabletop décor! Use what you already own from linens to plants. I love how this palm leaf aisle runner doubled as a table linen pulls together the entire look of the party!

I wanted the feel of the ocean, sand and lush greenery you see in the Disney movie. I used this blue and white tie dye table linen and bamboo tassel table runner from Pottery Barn Kids. However, you could easily make your own by tie dying a white table linen.

Simply add palm leafs and pineapple paper plates to make your tablescape look festive and kid friendly!

It's all in the details! I bought miniature Moana character figurines and added them to the décor. Kids will love seeing the characters!

Another favorite detail are these DIY hibiscus and confetti pineapples! It adds a tropical and colorful custom look to your party!

Each guest received hibiscus candy necklace, similar to the one Moana wore, in these cute pineapple party favor boxes from Oriental Trading!
