Josie's 50th Birthday Surprise

Easy party! I knew I wanted to do gold for this birthday because a 50th wedding anniversary is golden so why not her birthday? I decided the pink because well it's my mom and she's very feminine and I thought that anything spring for an April birthday would just look like an Easter party. A little Pinteresting gave me ideas, I made the 3 backdrops and a couple simple banners and we were all set. :)

• What People Ate

  We did dinner at the local Golden Corral since before and my little brother was kind enough to split the bill. They do a great job hosting large groups and also I used to manage that location so the owner is a good friend ;) once we were home we had fruit salad, Mexican cueritos, chips, buffalo chicken dip, caprese salad, and antipasto

• What People Drank

  Lemonade for the kiddies and I made a pink Moscato lemonade for the big girls it was Yum! Beer and tequila served at our own personal open bar.

• Desserts

  2 tier cake. Top layer was key lime and 2nd layer was strawberry it was delicious! Chocolate cupcakes, rock candy and ice cream for the kiddies too!

• Activities / Games

  We hired a musical trio for a few hours, they're were great!
