Party Recap...
We held a picnic style lunch on the front lawn for our engagement party.
To keep costs low and because we love homemade all the details, decorations and food were made by us + amazingly helpful family members :)
Guests enjoyed an assortment of homemade goodies – freshly baked pie, gourmet salads, cupcakes and homemade lemonade sipped from cute straws.
To go with the picnic theme we set up lawn games such as boules and a home-made twister quilt for guests to play.
We placed buckets of chalk on the driveway to help keep our youngest guests occupied - they loved it and ended up covering the driveway in ‘M+K= <3’ and ‘hopscotch land'.
Simple twine tied between two trees, pegs and mismatched scrap booking papers created a fun and pretty guestbook and also created a space to share some of our favourite engagement photo shoot snaps.
We also created a homemade photo booth – with some pretty fabric and homemade felt moustaches – it was a hit and got some really funny shots of our friends + family.
