Party Recap
We had a wonderful time celebrating my daughters third birthday. I got a lot of ideas from online, but a lot of them were thought of on my own. After seeing this site I have lots of ideas for next years party!
Party Highlights
-
Best Moment
I think it was when everyone was doing the Limbo. It was so much fun to see everyone dancing around and laughing together.
-
Best Dressed
Everyone kept with the theme for the most part. There were lots of grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts.
-
What People Ate
We had Hawaiian potato salad, Hawaiian macaroni salad, cabbage salad, Waikiki meatballs, a fruit buffet with tropical fruits and we also had a kabob buffet with chicken, shrimp and beef marinated in Hawaiian marinades.
-
What People Drank
I made a tropical punch with a pineapple/orange juice with smashed bananas in it. I froze it in the freezer and served it with ginger ale. It was sooo good!
-
Desserts
We had cake and also a chocolate fountain
-
Party Favors
Everyone had tropical fans, bubbles and sand buckets.
-
Activities / Games
I set a water table with floating ducks in it. I had no idea it would be such a hit with the smaller kids! They loved it! We also played Hawaiian Bowling with 2 liter bottles and a coconut, and we also did the Limbo. That was so much fun! I bought a CD with Limbo music and everyone was dancing around.
-
Budget
I think I spent around $700 for everything - including food.
