My Not So Boring Garden Party

My parties are boring. I swear they are. First of all I am a 30 something single dad of a baby girl. Trying to be the best example for my girl who is now three and growing fast, all my get-togethers with friends at home are starting to look very much like her tea garden parties.

No wonder why I just called a bunch of mates and told them my baby is with her grandma for the weekend and they can come hang out in my backyard if they want to. No biggie.

Oh, and I used my free time to go buy myself a new BBQ and a juicer. I bought both appliances and asked my buddies if they want to come over and test them out, watch a movie and maybe have a few drinks. What happened was that they invited five more friends, brought a few bottles of alcohol and a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies.
When I told them I wanted to test out my new juicer and BBQ I didn't really mean cocktails and steaks, but this is what happened at the end.

We barely watched the movie, because my backyard screen set-up wasnt't nearly as good as I was hoping for.

The seating was comfortable though - I took my sofa cushions and placed them on some blankets. It was pretty amazing. It was a pitty the movie didnt't really worked out as I planned it, but we did play some table tennis and had lots and lots of cocktails and it was fun because people were trying to mix juices like orange juice and kiwi juice and there were some pretty crazy combinations with vodka and amaretto. I am lucky no one got poisoned in my backyard...

All in all a fun night.
