Party Recap

We had a Lego party for 20 kids. It started raining after we set up, so we moved it indoors.

We decided to incorporate a variety of the Lego ranges into the party: Star Wars, Ninjago, Superhero, City etc

Lego parties are FUN!

  • Party Favors

In their favour bags they had a lego jar that I'd made filled with a generic block kit from the cheap shop, a superhero minifigure to build, a Lego notepad, a Lego pencil, Lego sharpener, Lego bag tag and Lego lollies. They also took home two Lego kits (not genuine) that they could build during the party, a construction hat with their name on it, a personalised ID tag and sunnies.

  • Activities / Games

I found some Kreo kits being cleared out at a toy shop and bought a kit for each child which I wrapped and put at their place setting. They unwrapped it and made it as an activity (a huge hit)! I also found a MegaBlocks set on clearance and bought one each for the children and wrapped them too. They could make it if they wanted to, but they all elected to take it home with them to make later. I had a Lego Stormtrooper painting that I'd made for a party a few years ago. I got chalk and drew targets with point all over it and left a Star Wars Nerf Crossbow to shoot at it and a whiteboard to record their high scores. I bought cheap super hero car and figure sets online. My initial intention was to make them as part of the party and race them, however, they didn't come with any instructions! Somehow we muddled our way through and made them before the party and just left the beside the 'race track' we made so they could race them at will. Unsurprisingly, Batman vs Superman was the most common combination! I also had photocopied a heap of minifigure drawings and left the artline felts that look like Lego on the table with them for the kids to design their own minifigure. We had a Lego toss activity and a Lego obstacle course that we didn't get to run because of the wet weather. I was also going to do a ninja star toss, but again, the weather restricted us.
