Party Recap

My son is in LOVE with the Ninja Turtles! I wanted to give him a party with a modern take on the Ninja Turtle theme that was cute yet boyish.

Idea

Party Highlights

  • Desserts

    Cupcakes, Cake, and Ice Cream

  • Party Favors

Turtle Power (sleeve of gumballs containing the colors to represent each Ninja Turtle), Toxic Ooze, Ninja Turtle Pens, and Tattoos.

  • Activities / Games

Activity: Donatello's Lab- We made Toxic Ooze! It was like a cool science experiment and the kids LOVED it! Games: My son gets a little overwhelmed with too much excitement so we opted to keep the games simple... meaning no combat play and no dark sewer fun zone. Instead we took some easy childhood games and turned them into "Turtle Games". Simon Says became "Leonardo Says" and Duck-Duck-Goose became "Turtle-Turtle-Shredder". The kiddos loved these games though and they received prizes after playing!

  • What People Ate

PIZZA, Mikey's Munch (Cheetos Puffs), and Sewer Lids (Oreo Cookies)

  • What People Drank

Raphael's Ragin' Punch (Punch Flavored Kool-Aid Bursts and Punch Flavored Kool-Aid)

  • Best Moment

It's hard to choose just one, but I would have to say that when my husband arrived with the birthday boy, the birthday boy's eyes lit up and he exclaimed "Wow!" He was really so happy with how it turned out!

  • Funniest Moment

My older son's girlfriend came to my little birthday boy's party and she read all of his cards to him and helped him open his presents. The birthday boy told the girlfriend in front of everyone, "I wish I could date you." It was cute, one of those moments you wish you had on video!

  • Best Dressed

Leonardo AKA the birthday boy of course!

Shelley, where did you get the template for the gift tags that you can type in your own wording?
