Party Recap

I had a blast planning this party and making it come to life! I started planning my daughter's first birthday party practically since the day she was born ;) When I think of little girls, I think of a whole lot of pink and sparkles so that is exactly what I went with. Right off the bat I decided on a color scheme. I went with light pink, gold, and cream. From there I designed my own invitations using photoshop. The invitation read: "She's cute and sweet and so much fun our little lady is turning ONE!" I then included all necessary information and details for party guests. Most of the food was homemade as well as the set up of the food tables! I decided on a food table to fill everyone with lunch and a sweets bar that had something to satisfy everyone's taste buds! I made my own apothecary jars and filled them with all sorts of candy from pixie sticks to lollipops, and gummy bears to smarties. I made my own cake stands out of thrifted glass can dlesticks and white plates and they were topped with cookies, cupcakes, and brownies. My daughter's cake was homemade funfetti with vanilla frosting and sat on a beautiful white cake stand from Target. However, the star of the sweets bar was hands down the custom made glitter cake topper from Rustic Daisy Designs. (https://www.etsy.com/shop/RusticDaisyDesigns) I used white plastic tablecloths to cover the tables and made my own runners out of a light pink plastic tablecloth cut in half. All tablecloths were from Zurchers (http://www.zurchers.com/) Each of my table centerpieces were topped with a pink and white fabric square from Hobby Lobby, a white frame with a photo of my daughter, a white rustic bird cage, and a glass vase with gold spray paint on the bottom. The white tableclot hs were also from Zurchers. I had a sign in table with a time capsule for each guest to write my daughter a special note. I designed the print and it read: "To be opened when Oaklyn turns 18... Stop here you see, and write a very special message to me! A wish or memory, just give it a whirl... for your very favorite, ONE year old girl! Don't forget to sign your name!" The edge of the table had a gorgeous pink, cream, and gold tissue tassle banner from My Paper Crush. (http://shopmypapercrush.com/) On the other end of the table I had a rustic white clock set to my daughter's birth time with a print that read: "And in this moment, time stood still." To cover more space on the table, we also had cute gold foil letter balloons from Zurchers spelling out "ONE." For the gift table I handmade my own "Gifts" banner with scrapbook paper from Pebbles in My Pocket. (http://crlyy.jyqjz.servertrust.com/Default.asp) I made a felt ball garland using felt balls from Pebbles as well. The adorable mini gold pennant banner is from My paper crush and the pink festooning is from Zurchers. For the photo booth I used props from Hobby Lobby and made my own print that said "Grab a prop and strike a pose" it also had the party hashtag so I could see everyone's photos and later scrapbook them for my daughter to see. The backdrop was made out of large crepe paper sheets and we cute the edges to create a fringe details. We then hung the top of the strips from the ceiling to make a light and airy backdrop. The cake smash wall was adorned with handmade pinwheels made by me with gorgeous scrapbook paper also from pebbles in my packet. I hand made the high chair banner with paper from Hobby Lobby. Hanging all around the party were handmade tissue balls strung with twine. T here was also a gorgeous "first year banner" from Rustic Daisy Designs that displayed monthly photos of my daughter. My daughter's cute outfit is from Gaby Robbins Designs and was absolutely perfect! Hi There! Great job on your party! Everything looks beautiful! This set up/theme/decor is very similar to what I am planning for my daughter's party in August. I am really interested in where I can find the printable for "In This Moment Time Stood Still" with your daughters birth information, as well as the printable that reads "Oh darling, never grow up". Did you purchase these from somewhere, or make them yourself?
