Oh Toodles! Bhuvi's Mickey and Minnie Party

People everywhere in the world love Mickey mouse. And so does our little client too. So, it’s a Mickey and Minnie inspired first birthday party for a gorgeous little girl Bhuvika who just turned one. Coming up with a twist on these characters can be challenging. Oh how much I fell in love with this combination: Yellow, Red and Black- Although these colors are a typical Mickey mouse, I decided to bring in Minnie too in these colors, and I think they blended in very well.

Backdrop was hand stitched by birthday girl's mum. Red, yellow and black balloons were tied together to make a colorful garland and strung across the backdrop. I stitched the table cloth with simple white eyes, and oh boy, it just gave such a complete look.
The themed candy table was magical with a darling handmade backdrop, centrepieces (made by Bhuvi's parents) and adorable signage. I made a simple chalkboard poster and had it displayed on the backdrop. Kids loved the cupcakes and candies which doubled up as party favors. Party bags were once again personalised to the theme. Chocolates, cookies and candies were "dressed up" in fun labels and wrappers and displayed in serving platters from my stash. I also made Bhuvika’s 12 month growth journey chart and displayed it along with some activities with matching signage.
