Our daughter LOVES her The Very Hungry Caterpillar book so we used it as an inspiration for her 2nd birthday. We used the reds, greens & polka dots as decorations and also served the foods the caterpillar ate. The weather was beautiful, so it was a perfect outdoor birthday party for our sweet girl.
What People Ate
Everyone snacked on what the hungry caterpillar snacked on in the book. We had apple cupcakes, pears, plums, strawberries, oranges, chocolate cake, ice cream cone cupcakes, cherry pie cupcakes, watermelon, pickles, swiss cheese, salami, sausage, lollipops and the hungry caterpillar cupcakes. We also had a big apple cake for Addy to enjoy later.
What People Drank
Juice for the little ones, sodas, beer & wine for the adults
Addy playing with all of her friends
Addy, of course, in her hand-painted Hungry Caterpillar shirt from rebekahcrisco's Etsy shop & her red & green polka dotted tutu. Tutus are her favorite.
Cupcakes and cakes
Hungry caterpillar buckets with butterfly suckers, caterpillar & worm gummies, caterpillar & butterfly tattoos, colorful caterpillar candies & a colorful play recorder.
Activities / Games
It was an outdoor party so the kids played on the playset & sandbox & in Addy's new playhouse she got for her birthday
