Party Recap...
Owen has been obsessed with tools and all things construction for several months. I knew that his 3rd birthday party had to have diggers, dirt and dump trucks!
Party Highlights
What People Ate
I tried really hard to make all of the food "construction themed," but it was difficult! I served ham and cheese sliders, orange Jello "building blocks," tortilla chips and nacho cheese as wood chips and yellow paint, fruit, broccoli salad, and Asian coleslaw.
What People Drank
We served orange punch and soft drink. I wish I would have taken a photo of the punch! The clear beverage dispenser sits up on a clear foot, so I filled the foot with toy tools and set toy orange cones around it.
Dessert
We served construction site cake, cupcakes, donut "spare truck tires," tool shaped cookies, chocolate tools and "build" your own snack mix bar with Reese's Pieces, Cocoa Puffs, chocolate covered peanuts and raisins and pretzels.
Party Favors
Each child got to grab an apron filled with toy tools from a tool box when they arrived at the party. Owen thanked his guests for coming with a bucket of tool shaped cookies.
