Pandemic Backyard Movie Party
ByParty Recap
We originally wanted to have our birthday at the actual drive in movie theater but timing made things difficult. The movie he preferred would be the second of a double feature and that would have taken everyone deep into the night. So we happened to just bought our backyard projector anyways so we turned it around to that and the bonus was he could pick whatever movie he wanted. So we picked a few friends (pandemic times) and we had fun with it. Got a couple of posters printed out, picked up local shop popcorn, found a “red carpet”, and even a piñata to match! The kids arrived walking down the VIP red carpet, and we showed them to our backyard movie set up with a projector screen, grass cover with bean bags, concessions area, chair and furniture seating, and twinkling lights! The clapboard piñata was set for them to get their concessions candy. Once everyone was sorted with concessions in their individual trays it was time to kick back and enjoy the movie of choice- for my 11 yr old it was Artemis Fowl. Now the weather did surprise us with a quick rain storm so we quickly brought everything into my living room
