Party Recap

When deciding to go with a Parisian baby shower we knew glamming it up was a must! Every detail of this dessert table design is hand made, backdrop curtain, painted wood blocks, pearls strung beads, down the the handcrafted tablecloth.

Design inspiration behind this shower was the black & white curtain back drop. That inspired me to think outside the box & come up with a design you don't see everyday.

All the small details for this shower were all hand made such as painting of the blocks. I purchased wood blocks & individually painted each block to match the color scheme using acrylic paint that I had on hand. Spray painted the stacking blocks & bottles. Purchased the black & white striped fabric & made the curtains with my sewing machine, same goes for the linen. A lot of the other props I had on hand & was able to implement them into the design.

My favorite item from this shower was the hand crafted table cloth. With out it, I don't think we would have been able to put together the entire look!

Take your time when creating handcrafted items & putting together your scene. Yes it takes time to hand paint, sew & find the right decor for your scheme. But if you pace your self & work on items in a timely manner, you will not get over whelmed! & do not wait til last minute to work on any projects, you will learn that they always take longer than expected. Better to be safe than sorry! & lastly have fun with the whole process, people tend to forget that main details
