My son is totally besotted with Captain Jack Sparrow. He watches the first movie over and over and over and now recites the dialogue with the actors!!!! The theme for the party was meant to be Superman...but it since changed upon his request because:"....moooooom I want a Captain Jack Sparrow party!!!!"
So hence my quest begins to plan a Pirates of the Caribbean party for his sixth birthday...on a shoe string budget and very little time to plan and organise...holding thumbs I can pull off something decent!
To update: the party was shifted in terms of date and venue because of a family members health. A huge emotional adjustment for the entire family. However family still made it an absolutely fabulous day! My son had the best time ever and loved all the attention for the day! The kids loved all the sweets they had to choose from and they had a great time outdoors. We had a jumping castle and ball games!
What People Ate
The kids had hot dogs and fries for lunch and ice cream cones for dessert. Obviously all the sweets were the most important food group to the already hyped up kids! Sorry moms! I had your kids all sugared up!
What People Drank
We had lovely Coccopaine drink that we labeled Captain Morgan's Juice just for fun!
As mentioned earlier dessert was lovely bubblegum flavoured ice cream served in cones.
Activities / Games
The kids had fun on the jumping castle and played cricket had fun on the tree swing nad drove their mothers nuts! Lol
My son all dressed up as a Pirate and having everyone shower attention on him! He loved it!
My aunt on the jumping castle and the kids quizzical faces in response!
Most Touching Moment
Seeing his face light up when his dad arrived at the party! Priceless!
I would have to say...MY SON! Lol
The budget was extremely tight, but I think I managed fairly well.
