Police Officer Birthday Party

My son just turned 2 in April! Like any typical boy, he likes to do everything just like his daddy! His dad is a police officer, therefore I put together a spur of the moment police officer birthday party. In the process, I discovered a way to throw a party that is both cost-effective and stress free! As a stay at home mom of 4 children, I’m constantly looking for ways to save money and still throw a stylish party. I’d love to share some money and time-saving tips with you!

DECORATIONS:
First of all, I came up with a simple backdrop and color scheme. By selecting balloons and streamers as basic party elements I was able to keep the cost pretty low. Also I love to find items from around that house that compliment my party theme and use them as part of the decorating. In this case, I found my husband hand cuffs and police radio!

FOOD:
Although food is an essential part of every party, there are ways to stay on a budget and still enjoy tasty treats! In order to save on time and money, I made my own cupcakes and bought color coordinated beverages. Bottled drinks eliminate the need to buy paper cups! Since we have four kids under the age of six, we enjoyed the simple snacks and easy post party clean up!
As a result of my impromptu party idea, our family enjoyed special time together! My son loved eating cupcakes and guzzling down his blue Kool-Aid with his sisters! We all had fun and I enjoyed the process of setting up this party since it was so easy! I encourage your to go for it and throw together a stress free birthday party on a budget!
