Party Recap...
As Luca neared two, he became obsessed with cars and Disney’s Cars, especially Lightening McQueen! The party theme was obvious for him. His party was held in the gymnasium of our Church since the New Jersey weather is usually too cold for an outdoor party in November.
I designed his invitations to look like Pit Passes complete with lanyard. I included one pit pass in each envelope per child, and they were encouraged to wear them to the party.
I covered the walls of the gymnasium with a Radiator Springs scene setter and strung checkered flag pennant across the room to create the perfect atmosphere.
Activities included receiving an official Radiator Springs Drivers license, decorating foam fingers later used during the Main Event - Grand Prix Race, car painting, and games such as 'Fix the Road.'
I created themed labels for the sodas and beverages complete with Fillmore's organic fuel (water). Sarge's Surplus displayed the favors for guests to take at the end of the day.
The main event was the Grand Prix complete with posterboard cars and trophies to all the players.
A '2' shaped raceway cake and cupcakes were for dessert.
