Party Recap

I'd been working on elements of the party for 6 months. You could say I had my Star Wars glasses on and everything looked like light sabers. It was ironic to see other parties posting on CatchMyParty that carried that similar elements as my ideas. To create these I bought a Hans Solo Carbonite toy on Ebay then created a mold to pour melted chocolate into. I'd be willing to talk offline if you'd like me to make you a mold. brandimoore@columbus.rr.com P.S. Thanks for loving them!!

VERY COOL STUFF! Can you please tell me how you made and/or bought the pinata and Hans Solo Bars? They are GREAT! Thank you in advance! :)

Thanks for your interest! For the pinata I used a punch balloon 14" and covered it with paper mache. I then traced a circle for the laser then cut it out and inverted it back into the hole we cut. I also removed the busted balloon thru this hole. Then I sprayed the entire pinata gray then using painters tape created the design. Once dry I used the speckled spray paint that is gray/black/white to spray the pinata again and then when dry removed the painters tape. I cut a square in the top to fill with candy and secure the rope for hanging. For the candy bars, I took a toy and created a silicon mold then poured melted chocolate into the mold to create candy bars. I'm open to discussing selling a mold if you'd like. -Brandi

WOW! That is a significant amount of work! What would you charge for a mold?
