Richard's 1st birthday woodland's party

Great weather in July, Richard's crib sheets and most of his toys was woodland friends - owls, racoons, deers and fox. So picking the theme was pretty easy to mark his 1st birthday. Once woodland theme was picked, cake was designed to have most of his favourite woodland friends. Neutral and rustic color scheme blended with features existing in the backyard so there was not much need for drapes or other backdrop options. Banners, tassels, tree stems with leaves and flowers helped to create a simple and nice backdrop for the cake/ candy buffet table. Two colors of table cloths (brown and ivory) was used on cake table to blend with the colour scheme. Few woodland ornaments was placed on cake table and wooden servers was used to display cake and cookies to add to the rustic feel. Quick stop by the bakery store to add more treats and desert on table ( cinnamon buns and chocolate cake logs) and white yogurt raisins drops.
Guest table decor - black linen table cloth with white runner was used. Glass plates with black desert plates and cups was used to carry the neutral colors. Woodland animals stuffie used as centerpieces for each guest tables. High chair banner was made handmade from 3 recieving swaddling blankets. Crown was also handmade from brown felt fabric .
