When I was contacted by the expecting mommy's mother-in-law, I was provided with pictures of the venue in which the event would take place at.
I instantly said "the theme should be a Rustic Garden baby shower!". The atmosphere looked so liberal. It's surroundings of green areas, natural flowers and an active water cascade which suited perfectly for the background of the sweets table.
Without delay she promptly agreed with the decision. At once I began to develop ideas, as I had already worked on a similar project. This one was a little special because it took place in my native country, the Dominican Republic.
A rustic detail on the welcoming table were the tree branch pencils I used for guest to write their wishes for the unborn baby Luna.
My favorite detail of all was using tree trunks as serving trays, and being able to incorporate it as vases for centerpieces.
Another garden touch were the styrofoam balls I used which were pinned with pink flowers of card-stock paper.
I also used white mini pots and planted a labeled pop-stick that featured each sweets description. I also included a pink organza bow for the finishing touch!
The bird house were hand painted with the same color coordinations of the sweets. For flower arrangements I used mason jars as vases. Mason jar are an excellent piece because of it can go perfect for any theme. They can be used in numerous ways.
Adding burlac, pink jute twine & lace completed the rustic vintage look I was looking for!
I also added pink ric-rac riboons around the mason jars and pink wire pom ribbons to the shooter glasses.
Guest devoured delicious cake pops, cake bites, chocolate covered oreos & sugar cookies prepared by "The Sweet Tooth Bar". ((www.facebook.com/TheSweetToothbar)
"Little Sugar Shop" provided us with mouthwatering macaroons (www.littlesugarshop.com)
The cake was made by Evelyn Disla, founded in Santiago, the Dominican Republic.
