Ruthie's Gnome 1st Birthday!
ByParty Recap
I loved getting to put everything together for my girl's 1st birthday! Everyone loved the theme and decor.
I knew I wanted to do something a bit different and not go with a typical "girly" theme. It was hard finding ideas that fit a girl that didn't include fairies. I just kind of took a few ideas here and there from pinterest, went to hobby lobby and loaded up on gnomes, toadstools, and any red with white polka dot things I could find. I had the idea of making her cake a tree stump and turning it into a little gnome home. It was SO fun getting creative with the moss, flowers, and things to make a little scene for her party table!
I made my husband make the cupcake stand from sliced wood pieces and tree branches from out yard.
I wanted to food to be simple but go along with the theme. I thought trail mix would be fun! My favorite things were the "pebbles" which were chocolate rocks, then the mini cookies I names "gnome-made cookies", and the pretzels as"twigs"
