Party Recap

My son really wanted a NERF battle for his party. For the younger age group I was a bit nervous to have the only activity be a battle, so we focused the party around NERF battle training. We working on our agility with the obstacle course, did several practice target shooting activities, and finally had a battle!
I used the Fort Magic kit we already had to build several of the supports (it is essentially pvc pipe and various connectors). For the crawl tunnels which doubled as barriers, I used a 10' x 10' camouflage netting, cut in half and doubled over on each side. To to provide extra deflection for the battle, I put in various smaller cardboard pieces under the more bare sections of netting.
I designed and made all of the graphics and signs for the party. The kids probably didn't care, but I was pleased with how it all turned out! Our dining room chairs are fabric. To avoid massive cleanup and put us more at ease, I used cheap $1 table cloths to make chair covers. One plastic cloth was enough to cover 3 chairs. Cheap and it helped tie in the party colors!
