This party turned out "sew" cute!! Instead of the typical games, we opted to have someone teach us how to sew aprons. (well, they were half sewn when we got to them to cut down on the time) It was a huge hit and it was everyone's favor. The theme colors were pink, yellow and orange. We did an appetizer table, a drink table, lunch table and dessert buffet table. Here was the menu:
Water with Cucumber and Strawberries
Mango Ice Tea
Apps: (to have out as people walk in)
A beautiful fruit and cheese plate with fig jam and dried mangos
Watercress, endive, avocado, golden raspberry salad with a red raspberry vinaigrette
Zucchini roll-ups with goat cheese
Heirloom tomato bruschetta
Orzo Salad with champagne vinaigrette
Made to order Panini Bar:
Brie and apple on multi grain grilled cheese
Chicken pesto on French bread with arugula and sliced roma tomatoes (the pest recipe is here)
Red Velvet mini cupcakes with cream cheese frosting
Chocolate mini cupcakes with caramel frosting topped with kosher salt
Sugar cookies in the shape of buttons
Low fat peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies
Chocolate swirl cheesecake bars
Lemon bundt cake
The panini bar is always a hit! People love hot sandwiches and for this all you need is an outlet. (and panini press)
