Shabby Chic 85th Birthday

This party was a Surprise Party for my grandma Rose's 85th Birthday! Since her name is Rose I wanted to go with a shabby chic rose theme! I got a hold of one of her photo albums and scanned a bunch of her old photos and retouched them on the computer and then printed them out and put them in frames on all the tables. She has a lot of family that lives out of state that wouldn't be able to come to the party so I got the idea to paint a canvas with an bare tree and then I sent it off to Michigan (we live in AZ) and had all the family there add their finger prints to it and sign it and then they mailed it back to me so that I could also have guest who attended the party add their finger prints and sign it too. I did a candy buffet and tried to have more classic candies like Mary Janes, tootsie Rolls, etc. I knew I wanted roses to be on all the tables but new I didn't have enough money to buy that many fresh ones so I made a ton of paper roses and put them in jars decorated with burlap and lace.
