Party Recap

As soon as I found out my husband and I were expecting our first child I began dreaming of and planning my baby shower! I knew I wanted something shabby chic and ideally in my mother's garden in Maine, since she has such a beautiful property. Though the weather can be unpredictable in Maine during the summer I decided to plan an outdoor garden party. I chose the theme colors of green, blue and pink, knowing these would work whether we were going to have a boy or girl. I run my own candy buffet and event planning business, Candy Buffet Queen www.facebook.com/candybuffetqueen and my mother caters, so we were well prepared to plan the shower and pull off the shower of my dreams! In the end, after six months of planning, we were blessed with perfect weather and a beautiful shabby chic inspired garden party shower! We used many things my mom had in her house, like vintage and antique china, vintage linen napkins and some old birdcages and trays she had. We then incorporated some beautiful items purchased from party stores and Etsy to complete the overall look. In the end, I had the shower of my dreams and my guests loved the charm of the shower!
