I had the privilege and honor to style a retirement party for a very special lady in uniform who was retiring from the LAPD force after over 20 years of service.

She was a no-nonsense boss, but protected her squad like a "momma."

I discovered, through her squad, that she had a considerable collection of Precious Moments figurines. So, we decided on a very warm, shabby chic theme with Precious Moments.

After the event, the woman of the hour came and insisted on giving me a hug. Just another reason why we do what we do!
