Shower for baby CY

My brother lives in Tulsa Oklahoma and I live near Buffalo NY. I wanted to have a baby shower for him that all his family could attend. So we decided to do a virtual baby shower via Oovoo. We had people from Ok, Ny and NJ join in on the shower. I made all the decorations and planned a menu. Then I sent the decorations to Oklahoma where my brothers mother in law decorated her home and made the same menu as we were having in Buffalo. We chatted and shared the party even opening of gifts with everyone on a big screen tv while chatting on Oovoo so we all could see each other. The theme was Woodland animals. I used the circuit machine to make adorable banners,pics for the cupcakes, acorns for a sign in tree, and invitations. The main course of food was a south west salad that had a nest of alfalfa sprouts with blue hard boiled eggs on top, and pulled pork sliders. The dessert table had 3 kinds of cupcakes , acorn cookies, a hedge hog watermelon, melon flowers, and smores on a stick. We had a sign in tree with white branches and lights. The guests signed their name on the front of the acorn and their address on the back and the mommy to be could use these to send out birth announcements later. We also wrote messages on diapers that Christy could see in the late night changes to give her encouragement or a smile. Frozen baby ice cubes to play my water broke game. In total about 40 people joined in on the shower from 3 different states and it was Wonderful gift for my sister in law to share in the love of her family and friends from near and far.

  I covered paper boxes with ribbons and woodland creatures that I made on the circuit machine and filled wit nuts ,candies ,and cookies

  My water broke frozen ice cube game, sign in tree, and Late night diaper change.

• Best Moment

  Seeing Christy open a gift her mom gave her that she made from old blocks that Christy used to play with.

• What People Ate

  South West layered salad, Pulled pork sliders, chips and , guacamole. For dessert 3 kinds of cupcakes, melon, acorn cookies,and smores
