Party Recap

The mom-to-be was decorating the nursery with sock monkey's so they were the star of this baby shower. I used a brown and red color palette with touches of baby blue. I incorporated polka dots and stripes to keep it playful. I wanted everything to have a vintage feel so I incorporated vintage toys to complete the look.

Party Highlights

  • Desserts

I served sock monkey cookies (from TS Cookies) and cake pops. I ordered a dozen sock monkey cake pops from Mom's Killer Cakes and they were adorable & yummy!

  • Activities / Games

Guest were asked to leave well wishes or advice for the mom-to-be and then we played a simple "remember what you see" baby shower game

  • Budget

This party was created with a small budget and everything, including food was done for under $100

  • Party Favors

Each guest left with Monkey Munchies - cookies in a jar

  • Best Moment

The look on the guest of honor's face when she arrived. She was speechless and felt so loved and honored to be showered with lots of love.

  • What People Ate

I served a yummy pasta salad, individual crudite glasses, stuffed potatoes, fruit kababos and lots of sweet treats

  • What People Drank

Lemonade and Cherry Limeaid was served in vintage glass milk bottles (ok they were Starbucks bottles, which I love to use at parties!)

Hi MH, I found the wrapping paper in the Dollar Spot at Target and the ribbon I bought at Hobby Lobby. I've also seen wrapping paper like that at Hobby Lobby if you can't find it at Target anymore. :)

Hi M H, my parents have had the wagon for a few years and I don't know where it came from. But, I do know you can find them at Toys R Us and online at Amazon.
