Sophia's Baby Shower

The theme for the baby shower was light pink and gold. We live in Chicago but our family is in Florida so we held the baby shower in a clubhouse in Tamarac, Fl. I wanted something girly, yet soft and elegant. I didn't want to go overboard so I kept the main table simple with desserts like macaroons, cupcakes, white chocolate strawberries, hershey's kisses and the main cake was a tier of red velvet and a tier of vanilla cake with caramel filling; all while keeping the frosting and decor gold and pink. The tables were set with gold chargers and pink napkins tied with a bow. The centerpieces were gold vases with all types of wild flowers in light pink and white we picked up from our local florist that day. We had all kinds of signs that I purchased on easy throughout the venue and photos from our maternity session. The favors were mini white zinfandel wine bottles that were to be opened on the day the baby arrived. There were 2 games we played, we had a DJ and mimosas were served as well as wine, beer and some liquor. Everything came out exactly how I had envisioned it :)
