Mind if ask what kind of budget you had? 'Cause nothing about this party looks like it was on a budget! It looks FANTASTIC! You took over an entire French Bakery? Had tons of cute touches and favors and decorations... I know lots of it must have been DIY but still, that adds up. This was AWESOME! Great job! :)

I cannot exactly say how much i spent, but most of the stuff was purchased from dollar store or ebay.A lot of desserts and pops, except for cake were made by me. I am just not very good at baking. otherwise I would have baked the cake too. It does add up, but most of the stuff is not very expensive. Some stuff like plush toys I already had at my home. I also bought some of them from the local trift shop for like 50c each. I think the most important is to keep it in the same color combination. My biggest splurge was the ball pit, but it was my gift for my daughter, so I don't count it as an expense. The restaurant happened to be the place where I work, so did not have to pay anything. I guess it also lowered the budget. I guess by putting "on the budget" I meant to say that most of the stuff you can make yourself instead of spending a lot of money on already made products. For example, invitations literally cost me $2 (2 sheets of paper red and black). Mickey ears cost me about $6-7 for 15 of them. I purchased 3x6 packs of headband in the dollar store and 30c felt. Dollar store is also awesome for the favors (I had mickey crayons, notepads, etc). Tablecloths, napkins, cups, plates were also purchased there

I used styro foam balls which I bought at Michael's: one big and two smaller ones. I actually filled up the bucket with sand, cause the head is pretty heavy. On top of the sand I put a paper plate and candies. For the stick I used a big pencil, the kind they sell at the party stores. It is very easy, but looks great. Good luck!

How did you connect the dum dums to the styro foam balls? And do you remember what size you used, I am trying one but it seems like the ears are almost as big as the head.

yes, the ears are pretty heavy. i used for ears 6in balls and attached them to the head with two sticks. it is better to use two because then the ears are more stable. Not sure what size was the head. But it must have been the biggest or second to the biggest one, cause i remember it cost me $19.99. I just inserted the lolipops in the balls. Some places I had to make them a little shorter, cause there were too many. Use sand in the backet for the base. the head and ears are very havy. I put sand and topped with paper plate to cover the sand. on top of the plate I put more candies. nobody figured out there was sand in the bucket. Good luck!
