Party Recap

My daughter Braiyha really wanted a spa party to celebrate her 10th birthday, but wanted to invite 20 friends & relatives. After checking out local spas and party establishments, I figured I could save a bundle by doing it myself. So, after months of planning, work and MANY DIY projects, we created Spa de Brai' in my grandmother's den, and then Cafe' de Brai' for a dinner party afterwards in her dining room!

Party Highlights

  • Best Moment

    Everyone having a great time!

  • Funniest Moment

When one of the "clients" acted as if she was at a real spa, and demanded that her nails be done over!

  • Most Touching Moment

Seeing my daughter enjoy her day, and hearing her say "thank you mommy! All the girls will be talking about it at school next week!"

  • Best Dressed

Of course the birthday girl in her signature pink spa wrap, and then a leopard shirt with pink skinny jeans and leapord sneakers

  • Desserts

cake and a sweets buffet that included cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels, caramel apples, marshmallow nailpolishes, cake pops, and lots of candies

  • Party Favors

personalized favor boxes with loufahs, fake nails, lipstick shaped ink pens, mini hand sanitizers, mini bottles of apple cider, juice boxes, lip gloss, body glitter

  • Activities / Games

Girls rotated between stations: manicures, pedicures, facials & makeup, spa crafts. Photo shoot after spa services. Dinner to end the day!

  • Budget

didn't really keep count, but probably around $600 or $700. Saved a ton by doing a lot of the work myself! Also, started to buy stuff months in advance and found MANY bargains at Dollar Tree!

  • What People Ate

spa sandwiches, diva's drummettes, deviled eggs, cutie corn dogs, makeover meatballs, fancy fruit cups, veggie cups, high-heeled hot wings, cake
