My daughter is not the princess type, ...to my dismay. I am a mom who is also a party planner. I wanted the party to be special and memorable so I did what I advise my clients to do - what she liked. I went all out to make it special by painting pumpkins (her birthday is Thanksgiving) and putting each of the characters as welcomers to the party on the porch. I also hand painted the SpongeBob backdrop. I love how the food turned out. We kept it simple by keeping the number to eight this year and going to the indoor pool to swim afterwards. The excitement and happiness on her face made it all worth it!
