Party Recap

Happy Almost Halloween!! Well, with 3 small children in our home, our Halloween decorations are definitely not ‘scary’…they are super-duper cute!

For this year’s Halloween party, I pulled inspiration from a modern black and white color palette with a few pops of orange. The highlight of the party was most definitely the ghost standees. The ghosts were used in front of our table for height and then we used the coordinating bats on the backdrop.

The backdrop itself was covered in a black& white star print paper roll. For fun, we dressed the backdrop up with 12” mylar letter balloons, spelling “Spooky”. To pull the metallic through the design, we added this wavy foil silver table skirt overtop of a white base linen.

The focal point of our dessert table was this DIY ghost cake. To recreate, all you need is a simple store bought white iced cake, a bag of Oreo cookies and brown M&M candy. Simply add Oreo cookies in pairs of two using a small dab of buttercream icing when adhering; then add another dab of icing and an M&M candy. Voila! For fun, we set out this simple DIY “Boo” frame in front of our ghost cake.

We served our delicious holiday treats on these fun Eat, Drink & Be Scary paper plates alongside orange paper napkins dressed up with these too-fun bling spider napkin holders. Spooky punch was served in these simple black and white spider web paper cups.

We dressed up store bought cupcakes with these personalized “Happy Halloween” cupcake wrappers and spider ring toppers.

For other treats on the table, and for a pop of Halloween orange, we added spider web bags filled with orange gumballs and orange rock candy displayed in a simple glass vase. To accent each of our serving pieces, we placed these paper spider web chargers underneath.

While our Halloween party may not have been scary, it was definitely “Spooktacularly Cute!”
