Party Recap...
For my neice's 16th birthday, she wanted to have a big party, so we chose "Wonderland" as our theme. Guests had the option of dressing up as their favorite Wonderland character, and the evening was filled with games, lots of mini foods and surprises big and small.
Party Highlights
Best Moment
Watching the birthday girl during the singing of "Happy Birthday" She was so touched by the whole party, and her expressions were priceless.
Best Dressed
All of them! Some of the girls really got into it and came to the party dressed to the part, but others just went into their closet to get creative with the character they chose.
What People Ate
everything was in miniature: pizza rolls, fruit kabobs, finger sandwiches, taco cups
What People Drank
mystery drinks (we made it a game, where different sodas were served in various bottles and everyone had to guess what the drink was)

Dessert
tea cup birthday cake + ice cream bar
Activities / Games
The party started off with a photo shoot of the girls acting silly, and before they came into the house, they each recieved a card. The cards had instructions like, "bow to Alice everytime someone says Happy Birthday." Another might have read something like, "Say Happy Birthday everytime Alice (the birthday girl) stands up." Another said, "bow to Alice everytime she stands up." and so on - they all sort of triggered another person to do or say something. The girls had GREAT fun with it, and about half way through the party, I made them switch cards which only added to the hilarity.
