Party Recap

Tweet tweet, a baby girl is sweet! That is the theme behind this shabby chic birdie baby shower!
Rebekah of A Blissful Nest designed this beautiful set in pale pinks, blues and greens for a shabby chic, vintage look. The colors work so well together and made it easy to find simple yet unique pieces to add to our dessert table.
We kept it simple with vanilla cupcakes , white meringue cookies and pink cake pops from Starbucks. They were placed on plates that although mismatched added to our shabby chic look. I love the green plate shaped as a bird! And the blue plate had birds on it! Unique finds I found at Home Goods. Lemon water in mason jars topped with striped straws and a lemon completed our dessert table.
The bird cage was an element I was on the hunt for and found at Michael's. I love how the top opened and I was able to add a cupcake in it! It was a piece that really made the theme and the color could not have been more perfect! The mason jars were ones I tinted myself using Martha Stewart's glass paint. I have made them in almost every color and they can be filled with flowers or candles and are great fillers for any dessert table!
For our gifting table, we added ribbon garland made by Sweet Georgia Sweet around the table front. It really brought out the table and made it a bit more special and unique. Onesies are so easy to use as decorations and we hung them on twine embellished with fabric strips in party colors. A huge thanks to our amazing vendors that showered the mom to be with special treats from their shops ~ the handmade fabric rag doll and play blocks from Sister Sue Designs is a treasure for any little girl; the taggie blanket from E & Lulu will soon become a naptime favorite and the headband from Birdie Baby Boutique couldn't match the birdie onesie any better. What a sweet outfit to bring baby girl home in!
