We had one room closed off from the rest of the house that had black lights in it. Everything was glowing. I cut out designs and shapes from neon poster board and hung them all over the walls they had an amazing effect. I covered the floor in neon Easter grass which glows really well in blacklight. Unfortunately pictures of the room didn't turn out very well but it was a great time. We also had other rooms with normal lighting decorated in neon and plenty of activities to keep them busy. This was the first big themed party I have done. I did everything myself except the cake.
Cake and candy
we did a white elephant theme for our party favors. Each kid got to unwrap something and every party favor was different. We also gave them all mismatched neon socks, white t-shirts that they decorated with highlighters, neon headbands and glow sand.
Activities / Games
We did a photo booth and had lots of crazy costume things they could pose in. They all decorated a white shirt with highlighter's so they all would glow under the black light. The room that had they black light was closed off from the rest of the house. The first time they were all alowed in they could only stay in for 90 seconds. They were to absorb everything they could see and then I had them come out and they had a quiz about the things they saw. ie- what number was on the wall, how may hands were on the wall, what animals did you see, etc. They had a great time and it was a good way to get them really excited about the glowing room:) White elephant for the party favors
