What a magical day this was! We were celebrating the Baptism of my youngest baby girl, Miss Talula Rose. The inspiration was the beautiful flower filled gardens in our backyard. I knew when we bought this house that we absolutely had to have a garden party!!
The gorgeous invitation was done by Inglish Digi Design. I came across her shop on Etsy and loved the floral design! She printed the invite and the small name square and I then layered them with coordinating papers, placed the layered invite in a cream enclosure and finished it with a chocolate satin ribbon topped with the name square. How Gorgeous!
The tablescape was simple but impactful from the beautiful cut velvet damask runner to the grass green linen napkins folded into a lotus flower design and centered with a bright pink favor box all tied up with a turquoise blue satin ribbon and filled with delectable chocolate truffles! The centerpieces on the table were five square glass containers lined in leaves wrapped in a beautiful turquoise satin ribbon and filled with stunning blue/green hydrangeas and bright pink and white roses!!
We served a delicious lunch consisting of lovely appetizers and delectable salads. For dessert we served the gorgeous cake done by Red Petal Cakes. The cake was designed to replicate the ruffles on Miss Talula's gorgeous white dress she wore after the Baptism ceremony.
Miss Talula's Baptismal gown was the icing on the cake!! Since we did not have a family dress to hand down I wanted her dress to be extra special so it could become the family heirloom to be handed down for generations. I, having a clothing design background decided to make the gown myself. To make it a real heirloom and extraordinarily special, I incorporated my mom's wedding dress along with some purchased materials to create this most precious gown. Her headpiece was custom made at a local shop called Kinderbritches. Miss Talula looked absolutely angelic!
It was a beautiful celebration that will be remembered for years to come!
