Party Recap
I’ll be honest. For this “at home party” I invested 3 weeks of my spare time. But, that’s just me.
NOW I help others by providing Tangled Decorations on my Etsy.com Store:
Details are the key to an excellent party — from the little adornments on fruit and cheese platters, to the jello boats, to dressing windows or arch ways with banners. Is it just me? I tend to become rather obsessive when it comes down to details that no one will probably notice, but I love them, my daughter got to help, and it made the whole event magical.
Hope that some of these ideas inspire you to throw a FANTASTIC Rapunzel Tangled Party!
If so, drop me a line!
and don’t forget to visit Disney Family Fun, and Super Mom Moments… she’s my resident favorite, fellow Arizonan, and new found friend!
Happy Practical Partying!!
~Ashley
If any of the above looks TOO INSANE to contemplate, I’m still selling Tangled Party Decorations on my Etsy.com store… drop on over! Mention you came straight from @ catch my party, and get a little something extra...
Party Highlights
-
Best Dressed
Rachel, as Rapunzel. Gorgeous. Although we did have a Princess Jasmine show up, who looked pretty stunning.
-
Desserts
Fondant cake. This cake was a 3 day labor of love, getting the tower put together. A May Zing. Special thanks to the creative genius of my friend Tessa.
-
Activities / Games
We played EVERYTHING you can think of to keep this many 6/7 yr old girls busy for 3 hours. Find the Jewel -- I purchased a few sacks of jewels from Michael's floral section, and we hid them everywhere. The grand prize was a large glass diamond, and everyone got to keep what they found. We also played: - Pin the Frying Pan on Flynn Ryder - Rapunzel Braid Jump Rope - Walk Like A Princess - Dress Like A Princess - Freeze Dance ... and tag. Indoor tag. Crazy.
-
Budget
$250 for decorations and food.
-
Best Moment
Seeing my daughter run around, owning her party. She shuttled everyone through their games, and was the consummate hostess!
-
What People Ate
We served Rapunzel's favorite Hazelnut Soup, along with crusty bread, jello boats, fruit and cheese, and sunburst shaped jelly sandwiches.
-
What People Drank
We served Rapunzel Sundrop Sparkling punch, with a bit of grenadine for color.
-
Most Touching Moment
Seeing how blinky my daughter was, when we revealed her cake. After days of waiting, it was worth every second.
-
Funniest Moment
The Dress Like A Princess game. They paired into teams, and dressed each other with toilet paper. You would have thought they were on Project Runway, the way they worked together. One little girl kept ripping their costume apart, saying, "This just isn't working for me." LOL
