Party Recap
My daughter LOVES to paint so it was only fitting to have an art party! This website provided LOTS of inspiration!
Party Highlights
-
Best Dressed
Tessa and I of course....with homemade splatter paint shirts could there be anyone else?? ;)
-
Desserts
With a party at 9:30 I couldn't bring myself to serve cake so donuts it was! Not sure the sugar count is any different ;)
-
Activities / Games
Painting canvases and decorating magnetic foam frames
-
Budget
I plan my themes at LEAST 6 months in advance so I can spend the LEAST amount possible. This way I am always looking for stuff to include....and in MOST cases I get it all on clearance!!!
-
Party Favors
The magnetic foam frames and canvases they created...and a few people got chocolate paint palettes ;)
-
Best Moment
WhenTessa arrived...though we had been telling her all about her party the look on her face was total SHOCK and EXCITEMENT!
-
What People Ate
The kids ate Mini Pancakes {bought packs of frozen ones...ssshhhh!}, the adults ate egg & sausage burritos, there was fruit salad and various fruit loaves
-
What People Drank
OJ & AJ {apple juice}, Coffee, Milk and Water
-
Most Touching Moment
Tessa was born 15 weeks premature. She has mild cerebral palsy and a speech disorder. She had been practicing blowing out the candles for WEEKS. When she was able to do the "real thing" it was pretty emotional!
-
Funniest Moment
Watching people sneak donuts even with a sign that said DO NOT EAT! ;)

Can you tell me how you managed to suspend the paint cans? I am having an art party for my son next month and love how you set up the table with the cans of paint. Sooo colorful. Just love it.

How did you make these? They are adorable!

I used Wilton candy melts and a piping bag. Drew the shape on the back if the wax paper the flipped it and piped the melted chocolate on. The colored "paint" are m&ms :)

That infamous question still needs an answer, "how were the paint cans suspended in the air?" That is amazing !!!!!
