Party Recap

If you are looking to throw the best DIY Sesame Street party, you've hit the jackpot. This entire party was DIY from the games to the desserts to the decorations. Guests were blown away at all of the details. As party guests entered, they followed Elmo, Big Bird and Cookie Monster footprints to the backyard. There they entered Sesame Street bliss. Pennant banners, pom-poms, and balloons with Sesame faces decorated the patio and deck. There was an amazing DIY electric lamppost designed in true Sesame Street fashion, on the pathway to the backyard. As you followed the pathway into the backyard, there were 6 DIY Sesame games and activities. Most were posted on stakes, and toddlers could walk right up to the games and play them. There was Cookie Monster's Cookie Toss, Super Grover's Super Obstacle Course, and Abby's Magical Shapes, to name a few. The food spread was inside, and first to come were appetizers in true Sesame fashion - a cheese and cracker plate featuring Big Bird's face, along with a watermelon Elmo and a broccoli Oscar. After that came the main spread, and everything was labeled accordingly. There were hamburgers, hot dogs, and hoagies - labeled Oscar's Scram-burgers, Ernie's Rubber Doggies, and Super Grover's Super Hoagies. The desserts were what really WOWed the guests. Homemade Elmo and Cookie Monster cupcakes had every child smiling like it was their birthday! A HUGE Elmo cake was also homemade and incredible - with Elmo's face cut out of... cookies!! Party favors included all Sesame Street items from the dollar store - coloring books, books, and goldfish too! Every child and adult truly had a blast!
