Thank you so much! Once we chose the theme the ideas really started flowing - I still keep coming up with ideas for this party! haha.
hi, do you have a picture of the invite? My daughter's first birthday will be Sound of Music and I am looking for invite ideas :)
We'd love you to leave a comment, but you need to be logged in.
Party Recap...
When Nicole asked me to help out with Reagan's 2nd Birthday party, my frist question was, what does Reagan love right now. And her response... The Sound of Music.
With the theme chosen, the ideas started flowing. We decided to have a "My Favorite Things" Dessert table. We had raindrops falling on roses, "Cream Colored Pony" Cookies, "Rea" (short for Reagan) "a drop of golden sun" Cookies, "tea, a drink with jam and bread" cookies, "sew, a needle pulling thread" cookies, "girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes" cookies, and Edeilweiss cupcakes. It was a very simple table that got the point across.
The kids bounced in a bounce house while the tunes from Sound of Music played through the outdoor speakers. The birthday girl was dancing around and couldnt have been happier.
Party Highlights
Best Moment
Seeing the excitement in Reagan's face when the songs from Sound of Music started playing. She was mesmerized by the table and the songs. She was singing and dancing along and new every word. TOO CUTE!
Funniest Moment
The crazy candle! I need to find out where it came from... it looked like a rose but out of nowhere opened up into several different candles - even setting off the fire alarm.
Best Dressed
Reagan of course! She looked fabulous in her white dress with blue satin sash.

This is truly an amazing concept. I played Maria in 6th grade and Brigetta in 9th grade when we did The Sound of Music and think this is just perfect. What a fantastic job!
