“Faith, trust, and a little pixie dust” was all I really needed to make my little fairy’s birthday wishes come true. This year for her birthday, my five-year-old wanted a Tinkerbell inspired party. It was actually one of the easiest parties I’ve done since I had many of the props and décor that I’ve used for previous parties. My goal was to create a forest garden feel with a whimsical touch of flowers and butterflies. I started by using a base color of sage/green and adding ivy leaves garland in the backdrop and around the table. I used wood platters to keep the forest garden theme going and then added colorful pastel flowers as accents. I always love to add the child’s toy as props if possible and lucky for me, my daughter had the perfect size Tinkerbell and Friends dolls to pose around the table. Treats included “Tinkerbell wings” cookies, Fairy dusted cupcakes, butterfly cake pops, fairy wands (rock candy), and donuts with the cutest edible butterflies ever! And of course, a gorgeous cake as my main centerpiece always puts the final touch. Seeing the smile and joy in my daughter’s face makes everything worth it. She was so happy that she thought she was really tinkerbell and posed like her in all her pictures.
