Party Highlights

  • Desserts

I made her a layered rainbow cake (yellow cake mix with food coloring) with white icing and for those that wanted chocolate we had chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing and sprinkles!! We also had vanilla ice cream cups!!

  • Activities / Games

While we waited on each kid to arrive they got to pick out and color huge coloring book pages!! Then the kids painted sun catchers and wooden wind chimes!! Next we made string banks, made from larger water bottles wrapped with colored yarn and wooden spoons!!

  • Budget

She LOVES anything art!! So we started thinking about having her party at a local Paint Party store but she could only invite 6-8 friends at about $200!! But she wanted to invited more friends so I planned this party at home for 24 for the same price!! I bought most of everything at Oriental Trading (including candy) and was VERY pleased with everything from them!! What I couldn't order I bought at Hobby Lobby (letters scrapbook paper, fabric for table runners and candy jars) and few things from Wal-mart (paint, crayons, markers and coloring books)!! I hung several of her drawings and few things she colored along the fence and also hung the coloring book pages the kids at the party colored!! Her Art Teacher even came to the party and painted and colored with them as well!! She even drew a picture of Tuck and gave it to her!! She was so shocked and super excited!! I thought it that made her party extra special!! I couldn't have pulled this party off without the help of my AWESOME and WONDERFUL friends, Flow, Missy and Rosie!! Thanks so very much!!

  • Party Favors

Along with their art projects each child made there own candy filled goodie bag from the candy buffet!! This was the hit of the party!!

  • Best Moment

I have to say the best thing at the party was the Candy Buffet!! Everyone LOVED it most!!

  • What People Ate

Kids had popcorn and pretzels to munch on!! Adults (few kids) had hot dogs and cheese dip with chips as well!!

  • What People Drank

Kids had mini water bottles while outside doing art and mini Hawaiian punch bottles while eating!! Both bottles I wrapped with scrap book paper to go along with the color theme!! *Next party I will wrap bottles with colored duct tape so they can be stored in the cooler of ice!! Adults had regular sized water bottles, canned coke and sprite!!
