Vintage Hollywood Birthday Bash

This was a 60th surprise birthday party I planned for a dear friend. She thought we were doing a girls night, dressing up for a Burlesque show. Her son, who is an actor, was the emcee and sang some big band era songs along with the orchestra. My daughter is a swing dancer and danced to the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy with her partner. The Lafayette Hotel is famous for being a hot spot for Frank Sinatra, Lana Turner, and the like, back in the 40s and 50s. It was the perfect backdrop to the event.

• Party Favors

  Each family received a custom bag with their name on a star. It contained popcorn, classic movies, candy, and a frame for putting their picture from the photo op in.

  Photo op with pictures printed on site, singing, swing dancing.
