Party Recap

Whilst overseas on a holiday with family and friends my husbands cousin suprised us with the news that he had gotten married to his girlfriend the day before they arrived!

His sister contacted me whilst I was overseas and said they were planning a welcome back lunch for the newlyweds and could I put together a candy buffet for them.
I didn't hesitate for a minute and said YES!!

I have to say planning a candy buffet overseas with a time difference wasn't the easiest of things but I had an absolute Ball as always planning it.
Oh and the party was held two days after I got back into the country!

Because the newlyweds were "island hopping" in Spain I decided to create an Island themed candy buffet featuring shades of blues, greens & creams.
I added shell & frangipani accents throughout the table and used some shell place card holders as well.

My centrepiece was my favourite item to put together on this table and didn't come together until the day before.

I used an extra large martini glass filled with different shells and water and found a beautiful piece of cabbage flower at my local florist which looked like coral, it was perfect and I had to have it.
The florist had actually used her last piece in an arrangement but was kind enough to pull it our and give it to me (Thanks to Flowers for Everyone at Stockland Merrylands NSW for this) it completed my table perfectly.

This table was an absolute pleasure to create and I'm so glad the happy couple loved it.
I wish them all the happiness in the world.
