Winter Greenhouse Flower Arranging Party

Is there anything better than an afternoon with a girlfriend arranging flowers and sipping hot cocoa?! My friend Jade has a gorgeous rustic greenhouse that was perfect for our event. To make the afternoon special I decorated with a DIY balloon garland kit from Oh How Charming and added in dried eucalyptus and dried palms. To complete the backdrop, I hung a wood bead yarn tassel garland from Rusty Chic Décor. On the mustard yellow bench I added a cozy blanket and 2 throw pillows. The whimsical pillow on the right of the bench inspired the color scheme of red, mustard yellow, light pink and green.

The hot cups sleeve had pretty watercolor trees and read it’s the most wonderful time of the year. Acrylic stir sticks from Cocoa and Confetti and a peppermint chocolate stick were the perfect details to make the drink feel extra special.

I made a DIY pampas tree that hung on the side of the greenhouse. To make the tree I trimmed pampas grass stems and attached them with floral wire to a small wood garden trellis. It added so much texture to the side of the greenhouse and looked stunning with twinkle lights as the sun set.

As you opened the chippy white greenhouse door the jingle bells rang. Inside the greenhouse the flower bar was draped with white gauze and light pink sequin ombre fabric. A burlap, wood bead and yarn tassel “flower bar” banner from Rusty Chic Décor hung along the back of the greenhouse. To the right of the bar was a mix of fresh flowers (evergreen, roses, eucalyptus, and carnations) and dried flowers (dried palm spears, craspedia billy buttons, protea, thistle wildflowers, and dried palm leaves.) The flowers were held in metal olive buckets. To the right of the flower bar was a variety of vases.

As the sun shone into the greenhouse on the chilly winter day we enjoyed each other’s company and had the best time making arrangements! The only thing better than the beautiful arrangements we took home is the wonderful memory of that afternoon!
