Yahya's Birthday Lunch

We threw a birthday lunch for my son who turned 1 on January 15th 2018. This lunch was in the afternoon on the 22nd of January.
We had a big lunch for friends and family in our front yard with a kid's corner (with the cake and all the goodies) in the garage. The garage has brick walls so it was perfect for the brick background that is so signature style of Sesame Street itself.

We also had a Take-a-Photo area on our small front veranda; I fixed a camera on its stand and anybody could get their photo taken. They would stand just behind this round photoframe made of balloons tied in a bunch on a circular frame. It was great. People love pictures!

• What People Ate

  There was buffet that inluded biryani, boneless chicken curry, fired fish, naan, meat curry and kebabs.

• What People Drank

  Juices and cold drinks.

• Desserts

  The cake itself. It has two tiers; bottom one was chocolate suicide and the top was vanilla caramel crunch. And cupcakes and gulab jaamun and fruit tarts.

• Activities / Games

  As it was a 1 year old's party so we focused on decor and food. There was a bubble machine for the kids to play in the bubbles incessantly being produced. There was a slide. And giant mason jars full of candy, chocolates and gum to be eaten and taken as pleased.
